Time Surfer decodes the various challenging Mayan calendar systems into an easy to use application.

- Beautiful hand drawn Mayan day glyphs
- Dreamspell destiny cross
- Long Count Visualizer
- Keep track of repeating cycles with built in automatic notes
- Search through time for specific Tzolkin patterns
- Built in dates for many signposts on the way to 2012
- Built in bookmarks for Mayan and 2012 related web sites
- Uses the Goodman-Martinez-Thompson correlation for the Long Count
- Export to iCal
To understand Time Surfer you must have some knowledge of the Mayan Long Count/Tzolkin system (see below), and the Dreamspell calendar, created by Jose and Lloydine Argüelles. To aide in this process, Time Surfer features a 'Websites' menu which links to sites related to 2012, Dreamspell, and other related calendar information. Several key prophetical and historical events have been added into the 'Dates' menu of Time Surfer for your enjoyment. Part of the magic of using the Mayan calendar is how it unfolds as you research and learn about it.
Time Surfer uses the latest modern orthographic linguistic spellings for the Mayan words. A Glyph Guide is offered under the 'Help' menu with the new spelling variations and each glyph represented for familiarity.
All of the glyphs were hand drawn especially for this program with the utmost respect to the Mayan traditions. The glyphs are portrayed as accurately as possible, in likeness to the known ancient Maya carvings and paintings, showing both the beauty and powerful symbolism within the design.
Time Surfer is composed of three tabs (Long Count , Dreamspell and Notes).
The Long Count tab is the traditional Mayan calendar synched with the Tzolkin and Haab (Using the Goodman-Martinez-Thompson correlation).
The Dreamspell tab is a reformulated calendar system developed by Jose and Lloydine Argüelles.
The Notes tab is for marking events and adding personal entries, so you can map time cycles.

Long Count Tab Features
Time Surfer rides the waves of time, just click-on the stepper controls next to dates to watch time whiz by. In particular, next to the Days Elapsed and Days Remaining values, you can start at the beginning 0.0.0.0.0 and see all of history unwind before your eyes. A prominent feature is the Long Count Visualizer: a circle of 5 concentric rings each mapped to a position in the Long Count.

Dreamspell Tab Features
Time Surfer configures the Destiny Cross or Destiny Oracle for the day Kin, Solar Seal or Galactic Signature. The poetic expressions flow harmonically through the central Destiny Kin (solar seal power) and within the surrounding Solar Seals: Guide Kin, Analog Kin (support energies), Antipode Kin (challenges/opportunities), Occult Kin (mystical, hidden knowledge). Other options include: 'Search Tzolkin', 'Search For Energies' and 'Next Match', which look for matching archetypical seals and harmonic tones throughout the Tzolkin.
Notes Features
Both the Long Count Tzolkin and the Dreamspell are based on 260 possible combinations of tones and glyphs. A calendar that is in harmony with nature can measure the cyclic and synodical resonant patterns of natural time and particular energy patterns that may repeat (ie. same tones and glyphs). The notes feature enables you to make entries of your choice in the Dreamspell or Long Count note pad. When the cycle repeats, any past entries will be displayed with the same tones, seals or energies for that particular day. Over time, if you are mindful of taking notes of events, you will be able to perceive the synchronistic order of natural time. Any notes that you choose to make in the program will be automatically stored in your Documents folder into a sub folder entitled "Time Surfer Notes". Each day entry that is noted, will be stored in a file and automatically named with the energy or seal of the day. You also have the option of opening and editing these files without Time Surfer. If a note is blank in Time Surfer, the file will be deleted.
Export to iCal
Time Surfer can export an entire year of Long Count and Dreamspell dates to iCal format. The process is simple, select either 'Export Long Count for Current Year' or 'Export Dreamspell for Current Year' from the iCal menu and then import the export files into iCal. The export files are always created in your Documents folder. Additionally if you have an iPod, you can carry the calendar with you everywhere if you sync this iCal calendar to your iPod. As a practical organizational tool for those so inclined, this feature along with iCal can be used to create a daily planner.
Time Surfer is free software.
